Owner/Director - Coach Jeff Kapp
Coach Jeff began playing organized baseball in 1975, and has played at just about every level since that time. He was a 3-year starter for his high school team in Munster, IN, at shortstop; making all conference all three years and all-state his senior year in 1986. He went on to play third base at Purdue University for the only team in school history to make it to the College World Series Regional in Starkville, Mississippi.
He also played instructional league baseball for the Royals and had two major league try-outs with the Cincinnati Reds and one with the St. Louis Cardinals. Since his playing days, he has coached at several different levels, including high school and little league. He has gained years of knowledge from coaches at every level of baseball from high school to the major leagues.
Coach Alex Gabbard
Coach Alex graduated from Lane Tech in Chicago, IL, in 2012; where he was a 4-year starter and varsity captain his senior year. He attended North Park University to play baseball in 2013. He transferred to Illinois State University in 2014, and was the Vice President and 3-year starting catcher for ISU Club Baseball. He has coached youth baseball for 4 years holding assistant and head coach positions from ages 11-16.
He has been named the Assistant Varsity Coach at Lane Tech High School in Chicago.
Coach Kevin Garcia
Coach Kevin attended Concordia University Chicago where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management. He is leaning toward going back to CUC to acquire a Master’s in Digital Marketing. While in CUC, he walked-on the baseball team and made the team. There he was moved all over the infield where he began as a 2nd basemen, to shortstop, and finally finished his college career as a 3rd basemen. During his time there, CUC won the conference championship from 2014-2018, Midwest Regional Championship 2017 and 2018, and World Series appearance 2017 and 2018.
Kevin attended Lake View High School where he was also a 4 year player and was chosen to play in the 2014 CPS vs Catholic All-Star Game. He has been coaching youth baseball for 5 years. He now holds assistant coach for the Cubs Senior All-Star Team (18u) and is also currently coaching the Lake View Wildcats freshmen and sophomore fall ball team.
